He is my GOD!

"A white-tailed deer drinks from the creek; I want to drink God, deep draughts of God. I'm thirsty for God-alive. I wonder, "Will I ever make it~ arrive and drink in God's presence!" I'm on a diet of tears~ tears for breakfast, tears for supper. All day long people knock at my door, Petering, "Where is this God of yours?" These are the things I go over and over, emptying out the pockets of my life. I was always at the head of the worshiping crowd, right out in front, Leading them all, eager to arrive and worship, shouting praises, singing thanksgiving~ celebrating, all of us, God's feast! Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God~ soon I'll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He's my God. When my soul is in the dumps, I rehearse everything I know of you, From Jordan depths to Hermon heights, including Mount Mizar. Chaos calls to chaos, to the tune of whitewater rapids. Your breaking surf, your thundering breakers crash and crush me. Then God promises to love me all day, sing songs all through the night! My life is God's prayer. Sometimes I ask God, my rock-solid God, "why did you let me down? why am I walking around in tears, harassed by enemies?" They're out for the kill, these tormentors with their obscenities, Taunting day after day, "where is this God of yours?" Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on GOD~ soon I'll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He's my God." Psalm 42 The Message

Today, this psalm says it all. No matter what happens in life, "HE IS MY GOD."

Blessed to be HIS,

Andrea

  8. I think a lot of us are going through the teary place right now, but God is great and greatly to be praised.

I am a novice to WordPress so I can't help you with why you have "too many", but I do have three ways to follow so maybe if one doesn't work for you, another one will. Let me know how it turns out. :O)

Thanks for letting me know about Beth's daughter. I have made a prayer button for her. Beth is the one who got me started offering prayer buttons when she requested one for Alleluiabelle's husband.

  21. We often have deer in our yard (just this weekend in fact) and whenever I see them there I always think of Psalm 42...'as the deer pants for the water so my soul longs after You.' It's one of my favorites and I love the little reminder that comes with the deer.

  26. "Fix my eyes on GOD~ soon I'll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He's my God." He is indeed! Fixing my eyes on GOD when that seems like the last thing I want to do, the hardest thing to do at times of torment, moments like those ... yet that is what I must! He is my God and worthy, oh, so worthy of praise.

  30. Not only are the Psalms a present help, but they also remind us that there is nowhere we can go where God has not already been with His people.
