"As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God." Psalm 42:1 NLT
As I journey through this life, I realize how dependent I am on God. I am unable to do any good without Him. The flesh is frail and can get me into trouble, but the spirit within me, His Spirit, renews and replenishes my soul. He is faithful to pick me up, dust me off, and set me back on the straight and narrow. My thirst for Him and all He has for me grows stronger with each breath I take!
Thirsting for more of HIM,
Andrea
This verse and the photo of the deer are ideally matched in your post.

There is a song called 'You Are The Sun' by Sara Groves and it's about how God is the sun and we are like the moon and the only light we have is a reflection of God's love. That's what I thought of when I read your post. :)

ReplyDeleteThis is so true. More and more everyday, I realize, like you, that "I am unable to do any good without him." In fact, when I'm not walking close with Him, I find myself in a very dry place. That's when I thirst for more of Him.
Thanks for a great reminder. Have a great weekend! God bless!
