    Beautiful picture. It reminds me of a German song I sing to my grandson, Est Is Ein Reiss Ensprungen. (Not sure of the spelling.) It's about a rose that comes up out of the ground in the cold of winter and is a reference to the Rod of Jesse from Isaiah 11:1. I found it in a hymn book at an Episcipal church recently. Just love it.
