The Ultimate Valentine

My "Ultimate" Valentine.

He loves me unconditionally.
He never abandons me.
He meets all of my needs.
He desires only the best for me.
He gives me the very best from his possessions.
He always knows the desires of my heart.
He is perfect!

By now I am quite sure I have your attention. No, I did not find the only perfect man this side of heaven, however as humans go I must say I came pretty close. My husband, Doug is a wonderful man, but it is not humanly possible for him to satisfy the qualities of the "Ultimate Valentine."

The only one who is able to meet all my needs, wants, and desires is the "lover of my soul...Jesus Christ!" As we celebrate this Valentines Day, lets remember the reason for the season, Jesus! He gave the ultimate gift of love!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"...for we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with love." Romans 5:5

May GOD bless each of you as you celebrate Valentines Day with the special people in your lives.

By His mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,

Andrea

  17. Andrea:
Good thoughts. Without Jesus going to the cross, we wouldn't know about how to love.

  30. This is a wonderful reminder. You know, I am so, so far behind on my blog visiting. But, here it is nearly Valentine's Day and I had to stop by and wish you a great one. A wish from me:

On this day, may you know, really know how much you are loved. May you recognize love in all it's forms. May you be grateful for the love of children and pets, old friendships and new. May your heart swell with all the beauty this life brings. Happy Valentine's Day, my friend.

  37. Yes, He is the ultimate Valentine, and we are blessed as well when we have those in our lives who daily express the love of God to us. I believe that is what God wants for us. He not only wants to love us, but He wants others to love us...after all, He does command us to love one another. It is a good day to remember all the love in our life.

  44. Oh YES! And being Transfiguration Sunday was very appropriate too, as our Minister reminded us. Since God made the first Covenant with the people of Israel and they fell so far short in keeping it, He loves us so much He made a new Covenant through Christ which is unconditional.

    Howzat for Love?

Another, irrelevant thing to the above:
Because so many more folks entered my giveaway than I expected I drew three extra names from the hat in order to send a surprise each- and yours was one of the three! I am sooo delighted that I can send you a little something, considering all your encouragement to me!

So could you please email me your snail mail address so I can post you a couple of little craft items?
