Tired?

Sitka sound asleep on the sofa in the rental beach house, Hatteras Island!

When I try to do things in my own strength, I look like Sitka. I am not near as cute as Sitka, but you get the picture. I am learning to do only those things GOD calls me to do. I am learning to wait on HIM, patiently. "Learning" would certainly be the key word. I am clearly a work in progress.

"Yet those who wait on the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:31 NAS

Finding strength in HIM,

Andrea

  13. Come to HIM all who are weary, and he will give rest. Great analogy and love that pup, Sitka.

Do you own or rent a house at the beach? We are planning a week at the beach for summer, and need a pet friendly location. Ideas?

  16. Oh so true Andrea! I often pray for the strength to make it through all of the things that I need to accomplish. And I do listen when I am supposed to rest. That's so important.

  18. Isa. 40:31 has long been my mantra. When I rush ahead on my own, I tire, I crash and burn. But when I literally "wait on the Lord" and let Him lead, He becomes my strength!

    Blessings to you, Andrea.

  23. Andrea,

We can all learn these lessons. If only we could learn them once and for all and not need to have them repeated. Thanking God for always giving us second, third and fourth chances.

  29. It takes some living, if not some wisdom-gathering, to find such relaxed peace in leaving it all to Him, yet moving ahead in the strength He alone provides.

Enjoying my gray hair and God's grace,

  37. We can get very tired trying to do everything in our own way and time and not in the Lord's way and time.. I am slowly learning how to lean more on Jesus and I so much feel the difference when I do, that's for sure. He is such an awesome God and is forever right here with us.. here to help us when we need his help.. all we have to do is call on him.

    Blessings,
    ~Lynn
