You Can Run, But You Can't Hide

Sitka hiding from Mommie!

"God, you know every sin I've committed; My life's a wide-open book before you." Psalm 69:5 The Message

"We are not keeping secrets, we're telling them; we're not hiding things, we're bringing them out into the open." Mark 4:22 The Message

You can run, but you can not hide. Allow GOD to use your sin and mistakes to fulfill HIS purpose. He sees whether we acknowledge HIM or not. Live in the light and move forward!

Living in the light,

Andrea

  4. In one of the lessons of my Bible study, we talk about how God knows everything. In II Kings 17, one of the verses talk abouts how Israel did wrong things in secret. Just like you said, you cannot hide from God. He sees and knows it all.

    Have a great day!

  6. That picture is so me! Once, back in college, I was doing some things wrong and I thought I would avoid conviction by not reading my Bible one day. As I was reading a novel, I came under the strongest sense of conviction I'd ever felt (and hope to never experience again). When I finally hit the floor on my knees, I heard the loving words of my heavenly Father saying "Don't EVER think you can decide when you and I are going to deal with something in your life. You cannot hide from me." It was terrifying, freeing, and comforting all at the same time. :)

  13. I love this post! I had a bad day yesterday, looking at past failures. Failures I cannot change or correct! Yet, God is familiar with our weakness and devoted to the end. He forgives and forgets as far as the East is from the West.

You words are timely today. Thanks for them!

  16. I love pictures of dogs trying to hide. I've got one that will do that. When he was a pup he would hide behind my daughter and bark at me. He's a hoot. His name is Seminole - he's the little pup you see on the right column of my blog.

  17. Loved this, Andrea! Thank you...

And we all Sitka, too :)

When it is bath time, our mastiff, Zeke (all 150lbs. of him) tries to hide. Usually in the laundry room, which hardly holds our washer and dryer! Animals teach us so much, don't they!

    Thanks for your wonderful work!
My Mom is now reading you! But, she is a lurker :)

  42. How did you manage to catch this picture? And how apt too the theme about hiding from God.

It's pointless. Wiser to just come clean before God. It sure saves a lot of time ;)

  56. As I see Sitka, and basking * and hiding * in his/ her beauty, I picture myself , in my hiding, and beauty , before the Lord as He calls out to me " Come to Abba, Daddy, My bautiful one! "
Thank you for inspiring me to see beyond my sin, to how the Savior sees me, and calls out to me..

  66. If we would only let God deal with us!, It's always so much better than trying to run away or hide things, all that does is cause it to become worse. Great ananolgy with the pup. Kinda like my cat who hides her head then thinks she's totally hidden!
    blessings,
    Debra

  69. that is exactly what I'm doing, Girlfriend, when He says to share...I share because I so don't want another to walk that path and deal with all of those consequences. I want them to draw near to Him and cling baby cling.
