Long ago, a little child loved paper and pen...
She knew not what to do...
One day, pen danced gracefully upon paper...
Giving child a heavenly view...
From Blue Ridge Mountains heavenly pew!
A clearer view...
Came bursting through...
Pen and paper...
New best friends...
Life became renewed, again!
Neither sadness nor despair...
Could rip a hole in this divine pair...
Paper and pen's love affair!
By His mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,
Andrea

Andrea, I so love this. As a child, I was obsessed with writing, and there really is nothing like letting God write His words on our hearts.
ReplyDeleteThis post reminds me of one of my fave Scriptures:
My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. - Psalm 45:1
Peace to you.
I've fallen prey to that glorious love affair, too!
ReplyDeleteMy g/daughter Amanda would relate to this poem, She has written poems since the age of 8. Has won many poem, essay, and short story contests in college, and as a senior will intern at a newspaper this fall. She even copy edited a novel for her professor.

ReplyDeleteIts so true! People who don't love writing can't understand the appeal for those who do. But I guess the same goes for any love affair!Look at the people who think Christians are out of their heads!!
