Getting Prepared

Savannah is preparing for a boat ride with Papa. Required apparel is her life vest and she proudly wears it while waiting for Papa to finish getting the boat ready.

Many times we face life without the required apparel. Our days begin with speed and lack of vision. When things do not go well, we wonder why? Today, lets take a lesson from our sweet "Savannah Faith." Let us slow down and prepare our heart, body, and mind for each day. Let us begin with prayer and time with our Heavenly Father! Wear GODS apparel with a heart of victory and preparedness. Begin each day ready for all HE has for you and enjoy the ride.

Learning to live,

Andrea

  18. Amen, Andrea! Thanking God for being our "life jacket", especially during turbulent times of our lives. My brother and family could not have made it over the post two weeks without Him.

  19. What a good word about being prepared and taking time. I needed that today with all of the business.

Love the colorful life vest. Makes little ones want to wear them.

  20. Good word. Sometimes I let myself get "too busy" and neglect the most important things.

    Adorable picture!

  22. "Enjoying the ride" with Jesus is like riding the dessert highway in a convertible with the top down, standing up in the back seat, lifting both hands in the air, head back and closing your eyes.

Someday we will know how to really fly.

    Blessings for the weekend.

  23. What a wonderful post, Andrea. We do need to be prepared, just as Savannah is prepared for the boat ride. Thanks for reminding us.

  24. Great reminder. Savannah is sure a cutie.

I notice a big difference in a day that doesn't start with me reading God's Word and getting prepared.

Take care and have a fun rest of the summer,
    Nannette
