Resting In HIS Arms

"But that's exactly how you will be addressed. God will speak to this people In baby talk, one syllable at a time— and he'll do it through foreign oppressors. He said before, "This is the time and place to rest, to give rest to the weary. This is the place to lay down your burden." But they won't listen." Isaiah 28:11 The Message

Listen to GOD! Lay your heavy burden at HIS feet and rest in HIS arms. Do "not" become entangled in the trappings of this world. Whatever you are facing, remember: The battle belongs to the LORD! Worry is not your friend.

Resting in the arms of my Savior,

Andrea

~Thank you for your continued prayers for each of my friends who are in the midst of medical crisis. Two friends with breast cancer and one with a stroke. GOD BLESS you for your faithfulness to pray!

  5. If we could only all remember that he has taken these worries from us...maybe then we could let go. Glad your friends have you in their lives. Praying for their comfort and healing.

  6. Andrea,
    Thank you for 'The Message' version of Isaiah 28:11 ~ It is so true that as you stated, "Worry is not your friend." Worry is the tool from the enemy to seduce us away from trusting in our Faithful God.

    I am praying for your beautiful friends. I pray and declare that God The Healer be made manifest in the lives of your friends...they shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord, for because they have made known God's name with long life He shall satisfy them! (Psalm 118:17, Psalm 91).
    You are lovely Andrea...
    Love..Teresa

  7. Andrea, I am so sorry about your friends. It is so hard to watch someone go through medical crisis. My dad is turning 90 this week and is in the hospital with pneumonia. I'd appreciate your prayers for him. Only the Lord can pull him through.

  10. Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy, and My load is light."

    What an awesome God we have!

  13. Andrea, the word that God gave me for this year is "listen". I am pondering the quiet and peace I allow myself in order to listen to and for Him. I know that the world noise distracts me, my inner noise buries His still, small voice beneath my own loudness. Thank you so much for this beautiful reminder and the Truth.
    Your friend in Christ, ~ linda

  19. Jesus, I am resting, resting,
    In the joy of what Thou art;
    I am finding out the greatness
    Of Thy loving heart.
    Thou hast bid me gaze upon Thee,
    And Thy beauty fills my soul,
    For by Thy transforming power,
    Thou hast made me whole.

    Jesus, I am resting, resting,
    In the joy of what Thou art;
    I am finding out the greatness
    Of Thy loving heart.

  20. This was my favorite line: "Worry is not your friend."

    I was reminded of this -

    "What a friend we have in Jesus
    All our sins and griefs to bear
    What a privilege to carry
    Everything to God in prayer..."

    Blessed rest - giving Him my worries because He cares.

    GOD BLESS!
