Yesterday, our family enjoyed a beautiful afternoon with extended family and friends. These four precious blessings played for hours in the heat. Not one time did we here even a whimper from any of them. Our day was full of laughs, love, and smiles.
Did I mention the heat? I don't know what the heat index or the actual temperature was yesterday, but it was HOT! As I watched the kids through out the afternoon, I began to think about how well they handled the heat. As we get older, the heat is more difficult. Let's face it, life is more difficult. As we say at "The Perdue Zoo," "Life is complicated!"
~ Is your life complicated?
~How well are you handling the heat?
~What is your attitude like?
Let us allow GOD to pour Himself out to us and through us, especially in those "hot" times. May He be glorified even greater when our lives are complicated and uncomfortable.
By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,
Andrea

I've been complaining a lot...not always during the hard times, but during the boring ones. It's interesting. I'm hoping to handle the heat better!!
As for the actual heat...I handled it better in Hong Kong than I am handling it at home! Maybe because we expect the heat in other places and not here?

I try to keep my life as uncomplicated as possible. My IBS and fibro can't take much stress.
The TV newscast said we had a heat index of 99* here. I'm trying to stay cool here in the house.
My attitude is rather calm, unless someone 'ruffles my feathers' but he doesn't realize how that affects me.
Oh, Andrea, this falls right in line with one of my favorite verses: "By your endurance you will save your life." - Luke 21:19
Lord, help us to endure. Help us to stand, and not be withered by the heated circumstances.
What darlings! How proud you must be!
I've found that kids complain quite a bit less than adults. They must be taught to complain.
Yes, my life is more complicated than I'd like. I am striving to cast my cares on the Lord, who cares for me.
Blessings Andrea, so glad you had a beautiful day; the children are precious. Sometimes I remind myself of a grumpy old crockadile, I need to watch that. What have we to grumble about? I love your posts, they bring me back to remembrance.
Sounds like a perfect day. The kids are adorable.
The kiddos look so cool. It's been over 100 degrees here for week and I think i'm going to melt.
How delightful they all look in their pool!
Your questions remind me that I thirst for the One Who gives me the living water, whether hot or cold, no matter what the situation is that I am in! I am so grateful for Him.
loving you, ~ linda
P.S. It is HOT here in South Texas and the heat index takes up a bunch of notches!
Looks like a great squad.
God bless them all!
Hi Andrea!
I hope all is well! I love the heat myself...It is a welcome blessing after all our snow and ice this past winter!
xxoo
