This weekend, our daughter Lauren rode her young horse, Keyo for the first time. She raised him with gentleness and love and trained him with a firm and gentle hand. Lauren prepared for this day for almost 2 years. Keyo performed "a little dance" before he submitted.
As I stood by photographing this monumental event, I realized the similarity between Lauren and Keyo to myself and my Heavenly Father.
~I have the training!
~I am loved!
~I have been disciplined with love!
Often, I too "dance around" before I submit to God's call on my life.
How about you? Are you still "dancing around" or are you fully submitting to HIS call on your life?
By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,
Andrea

Hmm...I never know. I guess because I feel like I don't know his will yet...except to love with abandon (especially with food). I'm still working on the rest and trusting that He makes "everything beautiful in its time."
Nice to see you :)
Amen, beautifully said my friend.
Yes, definitely some dancing and then submission. :)
Blessings,
Tammy
I have recently trimmed down my blog list, and also visit my favorite blogs "by rotation." And somehow in the craziness of life's to-dos... I have not been able to visit some blogs for months! Coming over here yesterday I was refreshed anew by your photos and spiritual insights... and recalled how a year ago or so, your blog was one of those I frequented. Glad to be back in your neighborhood, Andrea. How beautiful Lauren and Keyo look together. Submission to God's purpose is so crucial indeed.

Never thought of it quite like that before. Guess we all have to be reigned in a little, from time to time. Your posts are a much needed Blessing. Your daughter is beautiful and seems to handle her horse quite well. Have a Blessed week.
Ditto big time Andrea! Blessings.
You hit a home run with this one, Andrea. Love it.
