Waiting On The Edge

~Do you ever feel like you are standing on the edge of a pole all alone?

~Are you afraid of what may be ahead of you? or in the water below you?

"He told them, "You don't get to know the time. Timing is the Father's business. What you'll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world." Acts 1:7

If you are like me, you want understanding, clarity, and direction instantly. Fortunately for me, it doesn't usually happen that way. More frequently than not, I am standing on the edge of a pole waiting like this beautiful little bird. I don't like to wait and I don't like heights, yet GOD stretches me by letting me sit there a little while longer.

Did I say "fortunately?" Yes, I did. Usually, I am not ready for what GOD has for me. As HE continues to work in my heart, I realize the "perfectness" of HIS plan.

Waiting on the edge,

Andrea

Great post, Andrea. That edge waiting is hard but sometimes to necessary for preparation and the working of His perfect plan.

I feel like I am waiting on my own pole, too not far from yours. I sense God is going to put me way out of my comfort zone in the near future. The good news is that he is God with me, (Emmanuel.

Blessings and Hugs,
Tammy

I'd like to think of that place as a "challenging" place where we can choose to emerge as victors. It's not easy not knowing what is to come but it helps us put our trust on the One Who does.

Thank you sister for your prayers...I know that in my heart...because my back is never this strong as I go amidst my own trials, amidst being alone on that "edge"...Keeping you in thoughts and prayers also...Happy Thanksgiving and may you always remain strong in the Lord's mighty power!

Because of the circumstances of my birth, I have been from childhood someone who likes plans and order. I like clarity. I don't like heights. I don't like danger. I've learned through the years that God has a way of working that keeps me on my toes...on the edge...waiting.

Blessings to you, Andrea.

beautifully and perfectly said. Love that pic that just goes with this. And needed to hear your words Andrea...the reminder that He had plans and purposes and never ever forgets about us. Hugs to you special friend.

It's the story of my life: living on the edge! It takes tremendous resolve & faith to remain put while the Lord readies us for that next thing. But what an adventure, too! Even the quiet or difficult places are pregnant with purpose when God's in the mix.

Enjoy the view from your edge. I pray you can see forever!

It seems like I'm always waiting. When I have waited a long time, I hear a sermon that says I have to just wait. That throws me off until I remember the times something happened, something I had been wishing and praying for. God sent me a "suddenly." Hoping you get beautiful sunsets before your suddenly comes.

You are not alone in your stance. I find myself seeing signs of something I don't want to have to go through.
