He Is Our Anchor

Do you feel as though you are being overtaken by the waves of life? God is our anchor and though sometimes we can not see or feel His presence fully, He is there! Cling tightly and embrace His truths. He will see you through!

"1-4 But now, God's Message, the God who made you in the first place, Jacob,
the One who got you started, Israel:
"Don't be afraid, I've redeemed you.
I've called your name. You're mine.
When you're in over your head, I'll be there with you.
When you're in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you're between a rock and a hard place,
it won't be a dead end—
Because I am God, your personal God,
The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you:
all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That's how much you mean to me!
That's how much I love you!
I'd sell off the whole world to get you back,
trade the creation just for you."

Isaiah 43:1-4 The Message

By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,
Andrea

Love The Message translation of this passage. It was a verse I have found myself clinging to often throughout periods of my life. Blessings to you.

I am going to hold these verses close this week. I just said today I feel like I am inbetween a rock and a hard place concerning my health crisis...and there is the verse I needed to be reminded that God is with me, fighting for me. Wonderful! Always receive so much encouragement and grace here. Bless you.

Blessings. And we do need to pray for the peace of Israel. For God said, in His word, that He would Bless those that Bless Israel and Curse those that Curse Israel.

Hi dear Andrea, Love this post-such a good reminder for me today. Our old dog, Reggie, is battling a brain tumor and doesn't have much time left. I am pondering our next pup-whether a poodle or a poodle mix but need a puppy that is healthy and not too expensive. I've surrendered it all to Him because He knows us and loves us still. Thank you dear one for sharing His heart today.
Hugs, Noreen

Needless to say, the song "The Anchor Holds" comes to mind right away! I've known those waves and their threats. I am so, so grateful that we are never left to drown.

Blessings,
Kathleen
