Embrace The Journey

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts.  It's what you do with what you have left.  ~Hubert Humphrey

Often, we dwell on what is missing in our lives instead of the blessings. Today, I am reminded of all GOD has done in and through my life. I count it a joy to look backwards knowing I grew through the journey. I am who I am today, because of where I have been.

"The joy of the Lord is my strength." Nehemiah 8:10

What are you doing with what GOD gave you?
Are you embracing the journey with eager expectations?

By His mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,

Andrea

I'm trying to be patient and loving, even when it feels like everything is against me.

Praying not for lighter burdens, but for a stronger back.

Love the quote....by HH and the verse you shared in Nehemiah has come up twice today for me...I always take that as a sign to take notice! It is so easy to focus on what we have lost and not focus on what we have been left with..what we can learn...the blessings we have NOW. Thanks for the reminder!

Going through a tough time at work, I'm learning that through those difficulties, the Lord is helping me remember to focus on what matters the most: Him and His things.

God bless you sister.

i think that I am doing that, Andrea. I am more busy than ever before. And I am managing to find time for my devotions most days. So I guess that's good.

I look forward to a little slower schedule soon.

Andrea:
Our church had two people go to be with God in four days time last week. The first one was totally unexpected. The second one was too soon for us.
We've had to cling to God to get us through this time. We are focusing on the good things about the individuals.
Thanks for your thoughts on looking at what we have not what we don't have.

Amen to that line 'I am who I am today, because of where I have been'... and stronger because of it.

May God's Blessings flow your way today.

I'm sorry I haven't been to visit in so long! I've really been out of bloggerland the last few months but I do believe that is one of the ways God is leading me now. So many are hurting through broken marriage, and I'm willing to be used! Praying for you!

Howdy Sweet Friend
I am sorry I have been away for such a long time, but I have not forgotten you or yours in prayer !
Life has thrown many unexpected challenges my way this year and has not slowed down yet !
However we love and serve a God who is larger than the economy, ignorance, politics,
circumstance,enviorment,and
so forth .
Hang on Andrea to the promises of God and expect a miracle!!!
If we do not expect miracles to happen than we are not truly trusting that God is God .
Big hugs filled with love coming to you from Texas :)
Until Next Time
Happy Trails

For the past few months the Lord has been gently showing me of HIS goodness and bringing me up out of the depression.. HE is showing me to focus on the goodness and not the mistakes.... What a God we serve...
