Looking Up With A Smile

Life gets difficult and many times we find ourselves on our knees crawling. This past weekend, I noticed when our grandson Elijah fell down he would instantly "look up and smile." My heart smiled back! I began thinking about my own attitude when I fall down. Most times, when I look up at my Heavenly Father from my knees I do not have a smile on my face. God loves me know matter what my attitude just as I love Elijah, but when I respond negatively I am losing joy and wasting precious time.

~Why not smile when I am on my knees?
~Why not enjoy each moment, no matter what the circumstances?

I don't know about you guys, but I do not want to waste any more of my time with negative attitudes. From now on, let's look at our circumstances through the heart of GOD and not our own. Let's embrace each moment and enjoy the lives GOD has given us!

By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,

Andrea

What a great portrayal of how our attitudes (positive and negative) affect others. I'm finished with those negative attitudes too. We're only given so many hours in a day and so many days in this life - why should we grumble through and see everything from the enemy's point of view when we can think on the things of God!
I'm with you Andrea!!
Hugs,
Deb

Excellent analogy Andrea. As my word for 2012 is "praise", this is a good idea to help me do that. If I'm not negative then I will be more likely to praise Him.

Thanks

Cathy

From Mom Beaglebratz- after what I have gone through the last two years with my vision problems and having two cornea transplants in the same eye - after a recent eye doc appt. to check the condition of that eye with a recent Herpes infection, the doc said "There may be a slight improvement but definitely now worse, however no cause for celebration yet. I have started being a little more optimistic than that - stable is good, any possible sign of improvement is cause for celebration. I praise God and the God-given talents of my doctors. I am back to work after not being able to for almost 5 months - the second time in 2 years. My sttitude is changing and it is a direct result of the many blessings from God I have received. I NEED to read your blog more often for these reminders. I will be bask.
