One Step Forward, Three Steps Backwards

One step forward, three steps backwards. With each breath, I hope to be well. As days turn into weeks and I continue to battle lingering respiratory issues. I am exhausted! I realize how lacking I am in the area of patience and tolerance. I find it difficult to see the good in this, however, I am determined to praise GOD in all circumstances!

"........I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." Philippians 3:13-14 NLT

By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,

Andrea

I know what you mean, just when I think I've "mastered" a particular issue, God reminds me that He is Master and that I have nothing to do but look to Him for continual help for each and every day.

God bless you as you continue to dance with Him each day.

Hi Andrea, I imagine you and I are battling the same bug-yuck. I was down all last week but feeling somewhat better today-back in the land of the living. I'll be praying for you. Have you tried Musinex DM? It has worked wonderful for me, as well as Vicks.
Hugs and prayers,

Hi Andrea,
Sorry to hear you are not well. My husband and I had it over the holidays. It laid my husband out and he is pretty healthy. I am pretty weak anyway and I ended up on an IV at my new Doctors. Thinking and praying for you. It was a very hard thing to go thorough. Just FYI...a humidifier at night helped us.

Father,
I pray for Andrea. I pray that you send healing to her immune system and her lungs. I thank you for her and her always praying and encouraging everyone. Please help her.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Blessings,
Tammy

Andrea - I finally did it. I got a Message Bible. I'm just reading my regular scriptures in it and enjoying the new awareness it brings. Thanks for helping me to see that I needed one of these to go along with my NKJ.

Praying with you, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you have the endurance to stand. Be restored, be revived; rest in Him.

I'm so sorry, Andrea. I know how taxing, stressful and exhausting it can be to have awful issues with breathing. You are in my prayers. Praying for strength, rest and for your lungs to feel absolutely full of air, in Jesus' name.

Howdy Andrea
You remind me of a beautiful butterfly waiting and forgetting there is grave danger if you emerge too soon from your cocoon.
No I am not in your shoes only you and God can walk your path but because you are not alone you can make it ! You will find the ability to be patient when needed allowing God to continue to prepare you for wonderful blessings yet to arrive .
Thank you that while you wait you share the many blessings you have already been given .
God bless you my blogging friend :)
Gentle hugs coming your way
Love from Texas
Until next time
Happy Trails

I admire your strong resolve to trust God in your circumstances, despite setbacks. I know how frustrating it can, to be kept back from the things you love in life because of sickness.

I will pray that remnants of your sickness will be lifted from you and you will be restored whole.

Many blessings,
Jessica

Andrea, I am sorry that you are under the weather. I have also been dealing with a health issue. I have been trying to Praise God in all circumstances too. This year my motto is "keeping my eyes on Jesus." I want to focus on Him instead of my situation. I am praying for healing for you. Carla

Oh Andrea - what an ordeal!! Hoping that you're feeling better VERY soon...

Thank you for sharing these verses. God brought these verses to me to claim for 2011 - since that happened, they have been popping up on many blogs I read!

So, press on, friend - God is leading...and with Him, it's one step (at a time) forward - NO steps back!!

GOD BLESS!

My prayers for healing! Went through the respiratory issue in December. I was so fortunate that one round of antibiotics helped me, but I was so under the weather until I got my energy back. Sending hugs and get well wishes!

(((Andrea))) I know what you're going through. I just got over being sick for the past couple of weeks. I'm still hacking, but at least I can function. Hold on . . . you'll get there and it will be wonderful. I was actually giddy to be able to do some laundry yesterday -- now tell me who the sick one is! (Did I get a smile there?) It seems never ending, but it is not. You will turn the corner soon. Prayers speeding your way.

Some of my favorite verses are 'Be still and know that I am God'. 'In quietness and confidence shall be your strength'.'sit still my daughter and see how the matter will fall out'.'rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him'

As I too have faced respiratory limitations and the shock of finding myself in hospital with pneumonia and a collapsed lung and 3 wks later back with pneumonia during '09, I had to adjust to living as an older person with less breath and ability. I used to blame the loss of breath on weight but got pulled up sharply to realize it was a little more severe........I am heartened by the times He tells us to be still...much more often actually than he tells us to race off into things.
relax for He takes care of you.

So sorry you're still not feeling well Andrea...take care of yourself and give yourself the time you need to recover. Praying you're breathing easier very soon!

Hi, sweetie ~ It's been 4 weeks+ for me now trying to shake this crud. I am so sorry it is lingering for you, also. Everyone is having a time with it ...

Do hope you can shake it soon ... we can't cause any trouble together if you we are down. Chuckle!

Have a beautiful weekend.
