I am adding this beautiful button from Edie at
Rich Gifts to my blog. Thank you, Edie!
Having a son who is a Unites States Marine, preparing to serve in Afghanistan beginning in January, I am ever conscious of the sacrifice many families make for our freedom.
Today, I would like to thank each person serving in our Armed Forces for the freedom I enjoy each day. I, too am remembering all those who sacrificed their lives in order for me to enjoy freedom.
Sacrifice is never easy. My husband grew up without a father, because his father gave his life in WWII.
May GOD bless each of you who serve or have lost a love one serving our country.
Thanking GOD for each of you,
Andrea

I do often think about the constant anxieties that must plague every family, especially a MOM out there as they release their sons and daughters to their call of duty to serve the Country.
We could continue to lift up our children and cover them in prayer for angels to watch over them.. The Lord can do far better than we can only worry.

Making rounds to celebrate 4th of July with everyone.
God bless you and your family as we celebrate our freedom in Christ and in this nation.
Blessings and love.
Dearest Andrea,
My heart and mind are consumed today with what this day truly means and the freedom that we all are able to share in such a great nation. The cost paid for such freedom has been high and may God always be the center piece. focal point and guiding light, strength and courage for this entire nation. May we never, ever take it for granted.
My prayers are being said now and will continue to be said for your son as he steps out in January to protect us and for all the men and women serving our nation.
It is "One Nation Under God" and may He constantly cover each service man and woman with His Divine Intervention of protectiveness, love, grace, tender mercies, peace, self-control. May He reign in their minds, hearts and souls as they fight the battle to continue to keep America free in Jesus precious name. Amen.
I love you sweet and precious sister and friend.

Andrea, I hope you have had a happy July 4th. Ours has been blessed with quiet, a short visit from our son and granddaughters, and hamburgers from 5 Guys.
Your post moves my heart. It is truly a time to be thankful, to count our blessings, remembering the sacrifice of others.
I will pray for your son. May the Lord be with him and keep him safe. And may the Lord keep your heart and mind in peace.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words to me. I so appreciate your comments of comfort and hope. Until one is vulnerable, she never fully understands what love and support mean.
We are still in a waiting season, as Jeff sees more drs. and has more tests. Thank you, thank you for your prayers.
Many blessings to you.
In God's Love,
Andrea
