Seek Peace and Pursue It

"Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it." Psalm 34:14

We live in difficult times. My weekend challenge for each of us is to: "Seek peace and pursue it." With the dynamics in some of our families this may be quite the challenge. Let us make the commitment and leave the problems and excuses at the feet of Jesus.

Seeking peace in all situations,

Andrea

That's funny... This week I made an attempt at peace with an old friend. It got me NOWHERE and I was told that I was a fake, but God knew my heart and HE told me to 'attempt', therefore I did. The rest is in His hands. Who knows, maybe a small seed was planted. Maybe it takes time. But nevertheless, I was obedient. Now I wait.

We have experienced the most hectic and stressful week possible this week, yet I feel completely at peace. It must be because God stepped in and helped with both finances and health issues with two family members. What is there to worry about if God is there to handle the hard stuff?

Will do! A much needed reminder. I'm actually feeling it this morning as we made a minor decision and it feels right--finally!

Andrea,

This is too true. I think everyone has had a very hectic week and so many kids have left to attend schools this year. I pray for all of us to find that peace that passes all understanding and I hope we can all find a quiet place to reflect on God's word this weekend.

Thank you for those kind words, I will try to keep that in mind and seek peace where ever I can find it. I have been able to be much more lately and the peace I feel from my wife and children is a blessing and a miracle. I feel like a member of the family again after being gone so much the past year.

Thank you,

Steve

Great scripture. I think the key word is seek which means to ACTIVELY pursue. It doesn't just happen, we need to make the effort to pursue it.
Good to remember in difficult times.

Andrea,

Thank you for storming the gates with me. It is an honor and privilege to battle with you today. I will be warring on my knees this week for you and your precious family. As I was praying, I felt led to pray this verse over your health .. "I will listen closely to God's words. I wll not let them out of my sight - I will keep them within my heart, for they are life to all who find them and health for the whole body." (Proverbs 4:20-22)

May your light break forth like the morning, and your healing spring forth speedily - Isaiah 58:8

Blessings to you,
Sarah Dawn
