My Little Lamb

"Jesus said, Feed my lambs." John 21:15b

Patty at Attic Clutter sent me this precious lamb. He reminds me of the reason for the season. Jesus gave us the ultimate gift of eternal life. He asks us to take gentle care of HIS lambs (to feed them).

What does this verse mean to you?

Loving "The LAMB,"

Andrea

*Thank you Patty for my precious new ornament. He will always have a special place on my tree.

Hi Andrea,

That is a lovely gift that Patti sent to you...its a perfect example of what Christmas is about...the Lamb of God! This verse, to me, speaks of not only helping those in need, but I think it says that we are to feed the Word of God to people, to tell them of God's love and power in their lives. He says "if we love Him, feed His lambs"...that is a powerful statement, and I think we take it too lightly. There is much work to be done here on earth before He returns...will He find us worthy to be called faithful servants?

Good post, Andrea...God bless.

Mary

I've always wanted a lamb ornament for my Christmas tree... but there aren't any available over here.

I think a lamb is the best picture of Jesus at Christmas.

lambs remind me of my girls - innocent, gentle - unaware of the dangers in the world. Also speaks to me to reach out with the love and kindness that He gave me. Have a great one. Got to go read about your spa day. Hugs. Sarah

This verse brings several thoughts to to my mind:
A) Love people and put up with the ways they are sometimes annoying
B) Look for ways that I can love the people around me in action and take those opportunities
C) Give out the Word by facilitating bible studies, sharing scriptures to encourage people, taking opportunities to explain the way to salvation to people God brings across my path that don't know him

Awwwww, your little lamb is just precious! To this Ozarks farm chick it means we should sacrifice ourselves to the needs of others as Jesus the ultimate Lamb sacrificed himself for us. We are His body, hands and feet and He desires for us to use them to show His love to others.

Ya'll have a wonderfully blessed day and please take time from your busy Christmas activities to be a blessing to others.

Such a sweet ornament...this scripture speaks to me as being careful to nurture and feed the Word to the newer Christians...to not do anything to make them stumble...to support them in any way possible....

It's hard to resist lambs....of course at Christmas it reminds me of the innocent One who came as a baby in order to become the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.....

Feed my lambs - those most vulnerable, in need of attention and oversight, newest to the flock....see to their welfare.

Precious thought; awesome responsibility!
