Heaven Awaits

Dreaming of a land far away.....
Heaven awaits....

"I saw Heaven and earth new-created. Gone the first Heaven, gone the first earth, gone the sea. I saw Holy Jerusalem, new-created, descending resplendent out of Heaven, as ready for God as a bride for her husband. I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: "Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! Their His people, He is their God. He'll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good-tears gone, crying gone, pain gone-all the first order of things gone." Revelations 21:1-5a The Message

One day we will meet on the other side,

Andrea

Beautiful scripture! I often think of heaven. So many I love are there. I wonder about it's beauty and God's pervasive presence, but I know there is no way to imagine it with my finite mind.

Blessings and much love,

Andrea

I really like the way the Message puts things. 'God is moving into the neighborhood.' I kind of love it.

I was reading Donald Miller and he said that he thought that Heaven was like a wedding party. I like that thought too.

In heaven I get to meet all the friends I've never met. Does that make sense?

Hugs to you and have a great weekend.

Andrea,

This has always remained one of my most favorite scriptures from the Bible and truly one of the promises I hold fast too especially when we experience hard times and lose people close to us.

Hi Andrea, Thank you for sharing this. My brothers wife was just told today that her stage 4 tounge and tonsil cancer is back. Very sad news. She has been my bestfriend before I introduced her to my brother! Maybe for 30 years now. Can you please keep Penny in your prayers.

Beautiful scripture choice! And I love The Message translation on many of my favorite verses. I also love the picture. I feel very blessed to live near the ocean.

BTW, I am hosting a Christian Fiction Blog Carnival over at my place if you or any of your readers are interested!

when I look around and listen to the tough stories, the pain people carry, the hurt inflicted for no reason....this makes me hope in something better.

A friend once pointed out to me that God won't just wipe the tears from our cheeks. Think of the eyes of all His own receiving His individual attention!

I'm sorry that your aunt died and know that you'll miss her. But I rejoice with you that we are not as those without hope and that you will live with her in eternity with our Father in Heaven.
