Innocence and Example of a Child

A couple of weeks ago, Doug and I traveled to Stanley, Virginia to visit friends. We decided to eat a late lunch at a local restaurant, The Hawksbill Diner (1388 E Main St Stanley, VA 22851). We enjoyed home cooked food, but were entertained by the most charming little girl. Her name is Kaylee.

Kaylee oozed with the sweet innocence of a child. Jesus calls us to have the heart of a child. He wants us to love and encourage others without conditions or preconceived ideas of what they should or should not be. Kaylee was not afraid to speak her mind. She was confident and kind as she bubbled over with smiles.

Thank you, Kaylee for brightening our day and reminding us to be kind to all those in our path. Thank you to Kaylee's parents for allowing the use of this photo taken during our visit. May GOD bless and use your family in ways beyond what you could ask or imagine!

By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,

Andrea Bowling Perdue

Yes, Andrea, it can be so freeing to be childlike and have a heart likewise. Blessings.

"Unless ye are converted and become like little children ..." That's a big test!

It's funny how we tell our children things to get them to "grow up" and then we tell ourselves things to get us to become more "child-like". Funny but not.

Hey Andrea! I'm back in the bloggin' saddle and wanted to stop by for a visit! Loved reading several of your posts and as always my heart was touched by your words. I will certainly keep Doug in my prayers and stand with you for his complete healing! Also, loved the thunder rolling and the "Master's" touch during the SC wedding. I had a similar encounter that I will never forget! PTL! Hope you and your fam are doing well and pls give sitka a pat for me.

You are a blessing!

Jackie

Kaylee is one of the most adorable little girls that has a so sweet face! Jesus said, the kingdom of heaven rules in a child's heart. We, as adults must learn how to have the innocence of children.
