"I am the spring crocus blooming on the Sharon Plain, the lily of the valley. Like a lily among thistles is my darling among young women." Song of Songs 2:1-2
These tender verses from GOD's word speak volumes to each of us. The young girl did not feel as though she was special in any way. She referred to herself as common by comparing herself to flowers that grow all over Israel. Solomon disagreed saying, "lily among thistles." Solomon obviously felt no one compared to her.
God gave us eyes for the person He chose to be our spouse. Today, I am reminded how important it is for me to tell the one I love how special he is to me. I am thankful for his gentle spirit and his loving heart. I praise GOD for bringing him into my life.
When was the last time you shared your heart with the one you love? Begin again today and bless that special someone with the words most tenderly heard from your lips.
With a tender heart,
Andrea

In today's world where divorce is happening left and right, and the busyness of our daily rut, this is a great reminder of validating that special love and bond that God had brought together. We just have to make time...everyday...Thank you for this reminder. Nice pic BTW. God bless sis and your husband.
Andrea,
It's so true that we often take our husbands for granted. We just expect them to "know" how much we love and appreciate them. I myself, "Guilty"! It wasn't til he traveled so much that I saw all the little things he did to make our lives so much easier!
Kinda like our God who works in small ways in our lives that we take for granted everyday. Thank you for bringing that to my attention today. I will be making him feel super special with a homecooked meal of his favorite, lasagna!

Thank you for that reminder. How often we get caught up in the everyday world that we forget to bless and encourage the ones we love. Thanks
Andrea,
Since my husband's open-heart surgery in Dec. 2006, we have had to learn to live within today, never to take it for granted. We have learned to let each other know how much we love each other and I'm so glad that you posted this. It is a reminder to all, never take life for granted. Always let the other know how much you love them and care about them.
Love your post Andrea. God bless you.
Hugs,
