The Wilderness

"For I am about to do something new, see I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Isaiah 43:19

Like the Israelites, we often find ourselves in the wilderness. Our wilderness can be caused by many different things. It can be the result of our own sin, the sin of others, or by unrelated circumstances beyond our capability to change.

Isn't it awesome to know, we have a GOD who prepares a way out of the wilderness. HE "makes a pathway through the wilderness" and "creates rivers in dry wasteland." He loves us and does not desire for us wallow in the wilderness.

When we find ourselves in the wilderness, we must keep our focus on our Heavenly Father. We must seek HIM in prayer and continue to bath ourselves in HIS word.

Clinging to my Heavenly Father,

Andrea

If it weren't for the dry wilderness, we might not appreciate the lush green pastures so much either. =0)

Hi Andrea,
I believe it is often in the dry areas that we grow. And because of the dry areas we wander through, we can really appreciate the times of spring rain when it comes. Thank the Lord, He never leaves us in either time. Thanks for sharing today.

Sandi

Lately I have been walking through the wilderness too! I know God has big plans when I reach the land of milk and honey. Praying for you . . . and the plans God has prepared for you too. God will pull us through.
Yours in Christ,
Bren

We also have to remember that God will light the path out of our wilderness if we only look to Him.

Oh yes! How wonderful it is that He makes the way in the wilderness and brings forth waters of refreshing out of the dry riverbeds.

Praying for you, dear one.

Have a blessed week.

I just finished reading Exodus so this passage is current in my thoughts....you know the Isrealites lengthened their stay in the wilderness because of their "hard hearts and stiff necks"? Hmmm there's a lesson in there!

I felt like I was in the wilderness until my Angel Baby's due date had past. I'm so thankful that God has led me out of that dark forest. I can finally see the sunlight and it is guiding me down the path He wants me to take. This path will help me to lead others out of their own wilderness. I believe this is why God puts us in difficult situations. Once we get through it, we can help those who are currently in the turmoil that we were just in.

Praying for you!

Andrea, thanks for coming to see my blog.
You said you have therapy dogs. Now that sounds interesting. Where do they go to visit? Just hospitals, or homes and care facilities as well?
I'd like to hear more about that.

Your message above is a reminder that I need to keep moving closer to Him and see the way He has for me. I so do not like change, so it's hard to grow up & move on most of the time. I'll keep walking in His footsteps.
Thanks
Take care
