Bring Comfort to Others

"All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, He brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of His healing comfort--we get a full measure of that, too." 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 The Message

Today's verse reminds us to use the hard times in our lives to bring comfort to others. Tough times happen in all our lives. Are we using those times to help someone else or trying to forget they ever happened?

In HIS grip,

Andrea

*Update on the prayer request for Jim, Mary's husband. Jim was released from the hospital after a battery of tests. All tests were normal. Jim clearly had two cardiac episodes in the presence of Doctors and hospital staff, yet everything appears normal. The doctors were baffled. Both Mary and Jim believe GOD healed him as a result of all the prayer.

Thank you for praying for all the prayer requests on yesterday's post!

Great post and I needed to read this today.....Although I am accepting of God's will for my life, I sometimes can only wonder why I have had so many early losses (pregnancy) in these past few years and this reminds me that it is so I can comfort/counsel other mamas who are going through it for the first time.

thank you!

Andrea!

Great post! I think sometimes in our rushed and hurried lives, we forget the person right next to us, that needs our help! Let us not forget to open our eyes and see others in need and reach out to help them!

How easy it is to forget, and overlook someone in need. May God always give us the sensitivity to look in the direction of someone needing God's touch through us everyday.

Thanks too for the update, and praising God with Jim and Mary!

And you sister is a great example of that someone who takes time to help out others. You were so quick to ask for prayer requests when someone you know and you love has needs. God bless you richly! Thank God for healing Jim and may He continue to guide and protect him and sister Mary!

Oh, Yes!!! I agree that our Father did indeed, heal Jim. Praise the Lord for His goodness.
And... He does not play favorites. So He will help and heal you, too, right where you need it.

Dearest Andrea,

I absolutely love this passage of scripture. I am so happy to hear that Jim is "Healed" and doing great. You, my precious friend, are a great inspiration to all and are certainly using the tough times of others to help them and you are an angel on earth in your plight when doing so.

My love to you sweet sister,
Alleluiabelle
