Family

Lately, our lives have been filled with wedding plans. Our daughter is getting married September 19th. My husband, Doug and I have been very busy. Please pray for us as we continue to prepare for her special day.

Last night, we received a phone call from my husbands aunt letting us know his uncle is in RR ICU. He was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer yesterday. They have told the family he has between 5 days-1 month to live. He is in a great deal of pain. Some of the medications make him hallucinate and react strangely.

Doug's uncle is a strong christian and has lived a good, long life. Doug and I went to the hospital last night and spent some time in ICU with him. It was very difficult for my husband to watch when he had an episode of violent pain along with some confusion. Please pray for the family and the doctors as they seek to control the pain.

Once again, I thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support.

In HIS grip,

Andrea

Praying for the God of order to help you with the busyness as you prepare for your daughter's wedding. What a wonderful time it will be...

On the other hand, I can feel for you and your hubby because I've seen that pain you talked about from my patients whenever I would float to Oncology floor when I was still at the hospital, then, seeing it with my own father who passed away in 2007 from colon cancer. All I can say, the Lord's promise is all true because it was Him Who helped us overcome that very hard trial for my father, my brothers and I. And I know that He will be there with your hubby's uncle and his family. Blessings to you sister and I pray that His strength and comfort will cover you all. Love you in Christ.

Andrea,

I am laying you at the feet of JEsus because at times like this only HE can truly rejoice with you and help you as you do all you need to for this wedding preparation and comfort you in the situation with your husbands Uncle. Asking the LORD to help with the pain for that precious man....how awful to have to experience and then for you all to have to watch it!! I am so sorry and will continue praying for all of these needs,....Love you girl!

I am praying for your husband's uncle. "Hallucinating and react strangely", that is really so hard to witness. I have seen one, too... and my heart just broke. May God's glory be revealed in his life and bring healing.

I will lift your family up in prayer - I know it is difficult to watch a loved one die - I experienced it with my dad last summer in ICU - the pain... the not knowing what's going on..
I know that you know God is in control and that will bring peace.
Love to you and yours.
