Resting

"Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24

I have been quite busy the last couple of days. After completing today's tasks, I was exhausted. It was time to rest in my Heavenly Father's arms. I am acknowledging my need for rest. I will be blog visiting as soon as I can gather strength.

The picture I chose to post is from a recent trip to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, Virginia. The flowers and butterflies were captivating.

Resting,

Andrea

Hey sister,
I pray you get the rest you need and are refreshed once more. I always appreciate how you pour out so much to so many. May God return it to you many times. I am not sure about tomorrow because my little guy was pretty sick today. (And, you may not to be around me because I was around him.) Do you mind calling me or emailing tomorrow and let me know what you think? I'll check my email around lunch time.
Love ya, Laurie

I can understand your need for rest. Jesus took time to be alone to rest and pray. I wish everyone could understand the need to do this. When you're unable or unwilling to "do it all" because you know you need some down time, others may look at you as if you're lazy. I decided a few years ago to learn to say no and to not care what other people thought. I'm an introvert and need my quiet time! If I don't get it, I get mean! (My family can verify this!) So take all the time you need to rejuvinate yourself! Having some quiet time is what's best for me AND for those around me!

Love, Hugs and Blessings, Leslie

Andrea,

Its always good to listen to our bodies and take the advice it is telling us. Stop, and tomorrow will take care of itself. Take care of you now.

Rest, sweet friend. He longs to give it to us, yet often we wait too long to fall into HIs arms (well, I do anyway.)

Thanks for the update on Ellen. I'm glad she received good news.

Thank you. I look for butterflies, but they seem to be fewer than they once were.
May the Lord give you blessed rest, and may you be rejuvenated to good works.

Andrea, I just found your blog and will visit again, I'm sure. Poetry is one of my interests also and the concept behind my blog. There are times that others tell me I must think in rhyme. Your blog is beautiful, easy to navigate and a blessing to read. As I am not able to sit at the computer for great lengths of time, I will visit again and read more.

Take care, find the rest you need, God Bless,
Mimmy

Dearest Andrea,

My heart is praying for you to get the much needed rest that your body is telling it needs. I surely know how you feel as I have not been getting around to too many blogs lately just because of that.

I pray that He refreshes your mind, body and soul and that as you're resting that you breathe Him in deeply and enjoy all that is around you despite the chaos in life. Yes, we all need to quiet ourselves and rest in Him.

I love you dear friend.

Love, Blessings & Prayers,
Alleluiabelle

This was profound for me. I had just read John 10 and somewhere between verse 22 and 36 God mentions a couple times that "no one can snatch them from my hand." Then you said you'd rest in the arms of God...arms from which you cannot be snatched. I guess that gives me so much hope.
