Colton: The Blue Box "Update"

Colton is enjoying his homebound lessons and doing well. He is facing another difficult issue, in his life. His "Grammy" has become ill. She was diagnosed with lymphoma last week. Colton and his family are praying diligently, but honestly they are struggling with the battle they are facing. Colton is praying for a miracle for "Grammy."

Colton celebrated his 12th birthday this past weekend with 3 of his friends and family. Colton and his Mom prepared and decorated his Mario cake, giving them very valuable one on one time together.

Colton's birthday wish was for "Grammy to be well." We pray Colton's birthday wish will come true. Thank you, prayer warriors for storming the heavens on behalf of Colton and his family.

Continuing to storm the heavens with prayers,

Andrea

My grandmother has lymphoma, too, and she has been living with it for at about 3 years and she's doing well. But she is tired at times. We saw her at Easter and she looked great. There are such good medical treatments available now...it's amazing.

That birthday cake looks incredible! We had a birthday party for Mary Kate this weekend, too and bought a Walmart cake. Unfortunately, her name was spelled wrong on the cake! Ha ha. It was okay, though...it said Mary Katie, and Katie is my sister's name. So, it was funny.

I'm glad that Colton is doing well with his homebound lessons. That's great news.

Andrea,

I will be praying for Colton's continued success with his homeschooling program. Now with his grandmother's illness, not being bound into a strict school program will allow him to spend some quality time with his grandmother.

We ask God in heaven who hears our prayers, to continue to give Colton and his family strength while battling with these issues with school and his grandmother's illness. Lord we seek Your will in all things and ask for healing in this family. We ask for these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

My Dear Friend Andrea,

I am so happy to hear that Colton is doing well with his homebound lessons. Praise God for that. You can count me in for fervently praying for his grammy. I will pray for miraculous healings for her and that Colton will continue to be covered by God's mighty grace, peace and tranquility to get through this time with his grammy as well.

I love the cake. It sounds like he had a great 12th birthday. He surely deserves it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLTON! We Love you!

Love you too Andrea,
Alleluiabelle

They're not alone. We are the "prayer intercessors" [glory to God!]. So, count me in. So glad that Colton is doing much better and may God direct him and his family to discover what God truly wants for him. May God give him more time to spend with his "grammy".
Honestly, that's hard to eat that "good-looking" yummy cake! I'm starving all of a sudden:)
Have a great day sis Andrea and may God bless and keep you. Blessings...

Praise the Lord that Colton is doing well and had a wonderful birthday! I'm so sorry his Grandma is not well and I pray a miracle for her as well in Jesus Name. As one who still loves and adores my Grandparents who are both with the Lord I can understand his desire for her to be well and be here with him.

Andrea - I received your message on my blog and I'm praying for you sweetie.

His mom should sell her cakes! The decorating is awesome!

I just went through and read all of your Blue Box posts because I'm new to your blog and didn't know what the story was. I'm outraged!

My younger son is hearing impaired and has an IEP, and if anyone ever treated him like this and said it was within the guidelines of his IEP, they'd have a fight on their hands! I'm a preschool teacher and would never dare treat a child in such a way that it would take away their dignity or cause them any humiliation.

I find it very discouraging when educators or even parents of kids with disabilities won't do what they need to do to help and support that child.

Okay, I'll get off my soap box now and just pray for Colton.
