New Beginnings

"So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like rain, Like the spring rain watering the earth." Hosea 6:3

Lately, we have experienced "lots" of rain in Richmond, Virginia. Even though we needed this rain, many complained about the inconvenience of sloshing around like a duck. On a few occasions, I joined the complainers.

Pondering this passage brought me to my knees. I enjoy the blessings of God's creation, yet many times I am spoiled and selfishly do not want to be inconvenienced. My focus wavers and I find myself enjoying the material, earthly benefits of being a child of GOD and complaining when it does not suite me.

Where should my focus be? Do I make the needed changes in my life? Am I serious and deliberate in making those changes? Exactly where are my priorities?

My focus should be worshiping my Heavenly Father and focusing on the eternal benefits. Thankfully, today is a new day and GOD gives each of us the chance to start anew.

Blessings and prayers on your journey with your Heavenly Father,

Andrea

Andrea,

We have experienced abundant rain here in the mountains as well. It makes me think of the verse in Job that talks about the Lord tipping the water jars of heaven. His Word is soo good!

Your picture is beautiful! I got great encouragement from your line "Am I serious and deliberate in making those changes?"

Bless you dear one!

Lots of rain here in Northern VA too. Also I'm with you on the focus thing. Starting over feels good.

We all need those moments of new beginnings, don't we? thank you for continued prayer--that means alot to me:)
I didn't know you were from VA. We lived there for two years when my husband was stationed in Quantico. Love it there!

Oh, I've been guilty of complaining about the rain lately! Especially since I can't get my students outside to run off their excessive energy! I want my outdoor recess!

I love the verse you picked. We should enjoy and praise Him even for the rainy days.

Hi Sweet Friend,

We have had a lot of rain here in the northeast as well, but everything is so plush and so intensely green looking...oh it is absolutely beautiful. I love Spring, but it never lasts long enough. The freshness of new budding, the smell of freshly cut grass. I could go on and on.

Yes, "today is a new day and GOD gives each of us the chance to start anew." I am so thankful for that. So thankful. We all are of the flesh and I've been in that complaining place as well at times. The Scripture you share today is refreshing and is more beautiful than Spring can ever appear to us here on earth. I look forward to our great eternal resting place in Heaven with Him, where everything will always be fresh, new and vibrantly everylasting.

Love you so much,
Alleluiabelle

Andrea,

How about praying for God to send some of those plentiful buckets towards the west into California and I will send you some glorious rays of golden sunshine your way?

Love and Hugs ~ Kat
