Honest Scrap Award

Last week, I was awarded The Honest Scrap Award by "The Dreamer's Day." You will find hope and encouragement as you follow a dreamer living out her life. I am overwhelmed and honored to accept this award. Thank you, my wonderful friend, Squelly. Please stop by and visit!

In accepting this award, I need to do the following: 1) Say thanks and give a link to the presenter of the award. 2) Share "ten honest things" about myself. 3) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me. 4) Tell those 7 people that they've been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving it

Ten things about myself:

1)I love the Lord with all my heart! He is the reason I rise each day!

2)I am the mother of five children (3 biological sons and 2 adopted daughters).

3)I am a grandmother to an adorable little girl. She will be 2 years old on June 29Th.

4)I have four dogs (three therapy dogs and one elderly, deaf dog)and 2 cats.

5)I love to find a quiet spot in the midst of GOD's creation to read and write in my journal.

6)I love traveling with my dogs...enjoying the outdoors and the beauty of GOD's creation.

7)A glimpse from the past: When I was 20 yrs old, I worked in Wildlife Law Enforcement in SC. I enjoyed this career until after my second child was born. I still have fond memories.

8)I have never flown on an airplane.

9)I dream of going to Ireland, Alaska, and Israel one day.

10) I long to be all GOD created me to be!

I am passing this award to:

Leslie at Writing For The Lord

Mary at Divinely Designed

Rosel at Off The Beaten Trek

Mary at Piles Of Smiles

Marsha at Marsha's Musings

Kat at Heart 2 Heart

Charlene at Bring On The Rain

Congradulations to each of you and GOD Bless!

By HIS mercy and in the grip of HIS grace,

Andrea

I enjoyed the 10 things about you. We have the 5 kids in common, although all of mine are stepchildren. I have never had children. My husband, Ron, came with a complete family when we married (he was a widower) when we married the children were ages 3 - 12. Somehow I survived! But it was not easy for me.

Some day please fill us in about the work of your therapy dogs. Do they work with seniors or young people, etc. Perhaps someday when your realize your dream of visiting our gloriously beautiful state, we will meet. xoxo

Oh Andrea, thank you! You are too kind! You and Sitka are an inspiration to me as well. I love your openness and willingness to share yourself and your heart, especially with others who have needs.

I was planning to stop by here today even before I got your note. I have been by to visit Sitka this week but know that I've missed some of your posts here. I didn't know that one of your dogs is deaf! Because of my own son's hearing impairment, it always grieves me to know someone else or even an animal suffers from this problem. Although, I always remind myself it could be a lot worse. My son is able to be a functional part of society. His disability doesn't stop him!

Have a beautiful weekend! I hope y'all are getting some sunshine down there. It is STILL raining here in PA. I've never seen anything like it! Our garden is looking great though!

Blessings and Hugs, Leslie

Your T.V. is 30 years old? That's amazing! Does it work with our lovely new system the government has designed for us?
Thanks for stopping ibn again.

Congratulations, Andrea!

I loved your list of 10 things. If I didn't fly I would never be able to visit my precious daughter in Kenya! Well, I guess I could take months and take a boat.

I've been to Ireland and can't wait to go back some day. It's one of the most quaint and alluring places I've ever been.

Thank you for sharing this award with me! You are so sweet.

Andrea, Congrats on your special award. I love it when blogs I read get awards because then I get to visit some other great places. Never been on an airplane, whew, I think I've spent a bit too much time on them. Our travel time to Kenya (with two little ones) over 38 hours.

Blessings from Costa Rica,
Sarah Dawn
