Life's Twists and Turns

It is my desire for life to be full of peace and happiness. Unfortunately, life does not always sing to the tune I choose. Drastically opposite, my life often takes many twists and turns. It is the norm for me to take the scenic route through life rather than the most direct route.

It may be windy and in some places a bit bumpy, but through all the twists, bends, and relentless bumping I have grown into the person I am today. Each of these places in life are a part of what makes me, me.

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. " Isaiah 43:1b-2

I love these verses from Isaiah. They comfort my heart. I know when the wind is fiercely blowing or the road is extremely bumpy, I am not alone. My Heavenly Father is with me through every twist and turn.

Resting in my Heavenly Father's arms,

Andrea

Amen! I love that verse that you shared. It always gives me the courage every time I'm traveling on unfamiliar roads myself. What wonderful promises we have from our good Father. Have a good night sister and here are some [[[hugs]]]. God bless.

Dearest Andrea,

I say Amen too! I'm with you sister along side of you in the ride of life. I so relate to your thoughts and the wonderful scripture that you share here. It's refreshing and uplifting to know that He is with us through it all to guide us, comfort us and give us grace, strength and courage to ride it out into the bright light that He always provides at the end of the storm...that we can surely count on.

I love you dear sister,
Alleluiabelle

Andrea,

I needed that post and verse this morning. My oldest daughter is flying home to Rhode Island so it was the perfect verse to give her to carry with her. Thanks!

Love the beautiful picture of the path.

I love these verses. I have claimed them many a time. Did you know that Elizabeth Elliot claimed them when her hubby, Jim, was murdered (along with the other missionaires) and she had to go teach a Bible Study? She knew bodies were found, but wasn't sure if they were her husbands (but was pretty sure).

She said she kept repeating "let not the waters overflow, Lord" or something like that.

God has proven Himself to be faithful over and over and over!

Andrea,
Amen! He has redeemed us from a life without Him. So now He is always with us, even when we forget He is there. His love is so amazing!

Dear Andrea,
Thank you for stopping by my blog site the other day. It was a delight to "discover" you... another kindred soul.

I love this photo! It is so beautiful. Something tells me we share many things in common. Like going through life via the scenic route...oh how I love that! And the verse you quoted is among my favorites.

Enjoy the view today!

i love these words too andrea.
and such great examples the bible has given us!
when noah and his family and the animals were in that arc that was surrounded with the water, the lord kept them safe and dry, just as he later kept moses safe and dry in the basket cradle and then rescued him from the water.
god let the israelites walk through the path that he had made for them as he divided the sea..
the lord god was right with shadrach, meshach, and abednego, while they were in the fire!
and yet andrea, how much the lord endured the fire that we justly deserved as he hung on the tree.
these verses have always saddened me, even when i was a child,

Lamentations 1:12-14

12Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

13From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.

dearest andrea..your posts are such a blessing to me, just as crown of beauty's are!..love terry
