Equipped

Above, you will see where Mr. Beaver severed wood with his teeth to build his new home/neighborhood. GOD gives the beaver the tools to build his home and his damn/neighborhood. God gives us the tools to build HIS kingdom. God always equips us!

"Through the word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us." 2 Timothy 3:117 The Message

Embrace your calling and know GOD will give you all you need to be all HE created you to be.

Equipped,

Andrea

Andrea,

I love the simplicity of this beautiful post. Too often we are looking for these big, larger than life gifts, when it's those things we do that are effortless, that are the true gifts we are meant to use for His kingdom.

Hi Andrea,
I always love your insights!

I wanted to let you know that I am scaling back dramatically on social media during Lent -- I have a blog commenting/tweeting, etc. addiction, and it's gotten out of control! So I am going to take a hiatus -- not from writing my own blog...mainly just from bopping around and commenting on so many other ones! But I wanted you to know so you didn't think I was being intentionally ungrateful in not returning the blog comment favor! I hope you understand!

Yes, He certainly does, Andrea! It's up to us to USE the tools He gives us...so often, we try to do things under our own power.

Thanking God for you, friend. A powerful message at just the right time.

Beth

Have you been living in my mind? Last year, God said, "Go." So, my husband, 4 of 5 sons (one married before we left), and I went . . . all the way back to my husband's hometown. We hadn't lived there in almost 2 decades. It's not a warm fuzzy town. Not particularly pretty or community-oriented. I've often likened this journey to the children of Israel who were so happy to go when God called but got irritable in the desert. I have not lost faith. It's uncomfortable in this desert part of our journey - but you hit on what I have been struggling with:
"Embrace your calling and know GOD will give you all you need to be all HE created you to be."

It's hard to embrace when you're uncomfortable, homesick, missing the people who made you laugh - but like you said, God equipped us for this, prepared us for this mission field.

Thank you for sharing your message! I am going to put that quote on my fridge!

Thanks, Andrea, I needed to hear this today. I tend to base my feelings way too much on my accomplishments, rather than HIS equipping of me by His Spirit. He's even told me, "you are trying too hard."

Love you, dear sis,

Short, sweet and to the point. Thanks for the reminder it's about what HE wants me to do and not what I want to do.

That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work!

This Scripture passage is so special, and how you posted the picture of the branches cut up by Mr. Beaver for his home is so appropriate for your subject for this entry!

Embrace your calling! I love those words.

This is such an inspiration to me today.
