Update on Amden

Pray for Amden

Amden is home from the hospital. He is doing well. Amber is breast-feeding Amden. Both mommie and daddy are blessed by Amden's presence. My sister, Courtney (Amden's grandmother) is with them. She was going to email me pictures, but she does not have internet where they are living. I hope to have more to share with you, later.

Thank you for your prayers, love, encouragement and support. I am confident Amden will teach all of us a lot about "real" love. We are truly blessed to have him as a member of our family.

Blessed to be loved,

Andrea

PS: Thank you, Edie for making Amden a beautiful prayer button. You are awesome!

Dearest Andrea,

I saw your request for prayer yesterday as I have not been on my computer much in the past couple of days, but I wanted you to know that I have been praying for Amden and added his button to my blog earlier this morning.

I am so happy to hear that baby and mommy are doing good and I know too that he will add much love to this family. God will shine through this little one to all.

Love you my dear friend. I haven't been commenting much at all on blogs in the past few days. Computer time has been hit and miss due to busyness and health issues going on, but I wanted to stop by and let you know that I praying with you precious friend.

Big Hugs,
Alleluiabelle

Hold Amdem in Your arms, Lord. Hide Him under Your wings of love. Use him to share Your light and life in a world rotted by darkness. Let us see Your glory displayed in his life, in Jesus' Name.

I love you, Andrea. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to pray for this wee one.

Andrea ~ My heart goes out to all members of your family at this time.

Amden is such a blessing & I am sure Amden will bring great joys to this world & your family. Please tell the parents that God picked them especially to be Amden's parents as He knew they would bring special love to this precious child, they are so blessed, & specially chosen for this journey.

Re Jennifer & her loss ...she is so fortunate to have had loving grandparents ... & you to continue with her on her life's journey.

Prayers lifted for everyone.

Prayers coming Amden's way. As the aunt of two "special needs" nephews, I know the challenges the family will face. But GOD is bigger than every circumstance and every situation. And this young man will be a blessing!

Oh sweetie, he is just as cute as a button. Congratulations on this precious addition to your family. I will continue to pray for Amden. We spent my daughters first year in intensive care and many procedures after that. She will be 32 her next birthday, take that devil!!!

Have a fun and very blessed weekend!!!

God knew Amden before He formed him in his Mommy's womb. Down's Syndrome is not a surprise to God. I've known many with that disorder who are the most sensitive and powerful prayer warriors! We could certainly use more of those in this world.
Praying for everyone,
Deb

He will be a blessing for sure as long as everyone lets him bless them and they love him with open hearts. And another thing I've noticed in my dealings with children with Special Needs, is that somehow they belong more to their community than 'ordinary' children. I don't know how that is, and I'm hoping for your niece and nephew's sake that's not just an Irish 'thing'. My favourite little boy is always being 'borrowed' at school and Church, by children, teenagers, other parents- I think its partly because everything is new and exciting to him and he has no inhibitions so people WANT HIM WITH THEM.
I'm keeping praying that your Amden grows well.

Just catching up with you today. So much can happen in a few days. Congratulations on Amden's birth. He is beautiful. God has great plans for him. Sorry to hear of Jennifer's grief and struggles. You are always in my prayers and I do like the way you specifically ask for prayer for certain people. That helps a lot. I'm praying for His highest and best for all of you.

When I got sober God led me into a new career field that I had no real knowledge of.

I spent 20 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities. I loved so many of them and they helped open my heart and gave me a different perspective on life. It was a wonderful experience for me.

I will pray. All will be well in God's beautiful plan.

Andrea

I am just catching up on all of your posts! Saying prayers for all of these needs. My cousin had twins 5 yrs ago. a boy and a girl. Isaac was fine but they learned during the pregnancy that little Bella had downs. She has more than taught all of us what real love is....It is a privelege and an honor to be entrusted with a downs baby. Yes there are some challenges that come but the love and blessings far exceed the challenges that come!

Love you and praying

Andrea, I was praying for Amden, and his mommy/daddy this afternoon, and this poem came to mind for you, and your family. I remember when it was written, as I was singing Jesus loves me to our 2 year old grandson, Silas that day.. A song, that every little child probably has learned in thier childhood. Yet, I didn't learn it until I was in my mid 40's.. Today, the words just seemed to speak your name for little Amden, and for the family. I know, that Father God has blessed this little baby boy's lives, just because of SO many who love him in his new birth.. Just know I am still praying for peace the parents, and much love to be a shelter for this little baby as he grow.. Hope you find peace in the words of this poem..

In the shadow of God's sheltered wing
I find my rest in His arms of love
and when the darkness seems to come
I know His shelter surrounds me from above

Yes, my " Jesus Loves me " this I know
and my life is His from every side
whether I am up or down , high or low
I know its my Jesus whom I will always abide

He draws me to His open arms
and tells me to leave with Him, my deepest fear
and when life tries to beat us down
Its our Father's love, that reminds me, He is near

For His heart is open, wide and true
and His spirit gently comes to shelter me
His Voice, so tender as He sings over us
A Fathers Song - Yes, Glory be!

For my Jesus loves me this I know
and His blood was shed because He cared
He gave His all, for those He loves
Yes, it was " A Fathers Gift " He willingly shared..

Andrea, you and I just recently became blog buddies just last week. I was checking in tonight and read about sweet Amden. I have a daughter who is 9 who has down syndrome. I can't tell you how devistated I was when I first found out. But my life has changed so much since having her come into my life. She has taught me a love like no other. She not only has touched my life, but so many around her. Her hugs feel like love from an angel. She is an absolute joy to be around. She loves learning and the kids at her school all fight over who gets to be her helper. She loves her life!

I'm so glad we stubbled upon each other and I look forward to hearing more about beautiful Amden. I will pray for him and his parents.
