Daily, we are faced with choices. Twenty one years ago (April 14th, 1989), my sister Dayna made a choice, ultimately costing her life. She allowed a teenage friend to drive her car. He in turn made a series of horrific choices. Less than ten minutes and five miles from home her life came to a tragic end.
Every choice in our life has the capability of forever altering our lives and the lives of many others. We must do our best to make wise decisions.
Begin each day with prayer, asking for the ability to make wise decisions. We must listen closely to our Heavenly Father and do what we know in our hearts to be correct.
Not all choices are easy and there will be times when we stumble and fall. We must pick ourselves up and begin again, finding solace in learning from our mistakes and the mistakes of others.
Embrace each day with a positive attitude, looking with eager expectations for it's blessings. Time on this earth, as we know it is fleeting. Live life to it's fullest as you continue to grow into the person GOD created you to be.
Continuing to learn,
Andrea

Andrea, I do hope you are feeling God's love today. Choices...such a simple truth. All through the Bible we see choices, consequences and commendations.
Here's to wise choices, in faith, hope and love.
Blessings,
May God's comfort continue to cover you sister as you remember your sister. Thank you for reminding us how important it is to make the right choices and not take light of it. Blessings to you sister. Take care.
So true. It's so tempting to treat a lot of decisions like they're just little things, but you never know how much a small decision can effect your life.
I'm asking for His Presence to be especially strong today for comfort.
I know all to well about make that wrong 'choices.'
love and hugs~Tammy
Great post Andrea. I was just trying to convey the idea of "right" choices to the kids on my blog for the last couple of weeks. Hey , by the way, thanks for stopping by and leaving me with God's blessing.
i'm so sorry about your sister.
thanks for sharing.
Indeed may we all continue to learn!
Andrea:
I am sorry that she made such a bad choice. I know you miss her. Thank you for reminding us that choices we make can cause major changes in our lives. Young people need to hear this every day of their lives.
You're so right. What a painful way to learn~ I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this with us.
How sad to hear of your sister's passing. It is hard when tragic things happen from the choices we make.
Praying for your today, my friend!
Blessings~

Oh Andrea, I am so sorry about the loss of your sister. I simply can't imagine. Thank you for sharing with us and using your own pain to bring home some very valuable points.
Oh Andrea what a horrible thing to have happen. What scares me is the fact that young people don't always stop and think about their choices. I pray everyday for my Katie to make the right decisions. I hope you continue to feel God's arms around you and all of his blessings as well.
Love Di ♥
This is a theme I've preached to my kids over and over. It's a good lesson for us all. Thanks for sharing.
Andrea, I am sorry for the loss of your sister. Thank you for sharing this painful reminder of yours. Blessings and hugs....
Thanks for your comment on my blog - it's good to be a bit on the same wavelength. "Choose ye this day whom ye will serve", Joshus 24: 15.
"Choose then life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed" is God's offer - not a guarantee for this life, but promise of that to come.
With thoughts and sympathy; grace be with you. David
Thanks for the reminder to cover each day in prayer.
Hope you are having a beautiful week.
Such a sad thing to experience, Andrea, I'm sorry.
"Make good choices" or "Be good" is a statement I always say to my grandkids every time I tell them goodbye. Just pray they do!

Praying for a special touch of peace for you today...
Choices are so important...they effect our lives now...and in the future...and the lives of those around us...
Some say, "It's my life...and what I do is my business...it doesn't involve you"...but sadly, their choices do ultimately involve those that love them....
i am so sorry about your sister Andrea, what a sad thing...i am sending virtual hugs to you today as you miss your sister:)
Oh Andrea how hard that must have been. I am so sorry that this happened to you all. It is so true of course. The choices you make every day have the power to change things just this dramatically every day. I can remember telling my kids when they were in high school that the decisions and choices they were making at this VERY YOUNG age had the power to affect the entire rest of their lives. It is such a hard concept sometimes to get your head around. But it is just soo true. Thanks for this reminder today. I think we all need to remember this always. May God fill you with His peace today especially, but always as well. HUGS, Debbie
Sending much love and many prayers your way.
So so sorry to hear about your friend...I so agree with your post. Hugs and prayers to you today. xo
I'm sorry you lost your sister. It must be a forever empty place for you missing her.
Love you,
Mary
First, let me say how sorry I am that you lost your sister at such a young age, and in such a tragic accident.
As I've aged I've become increasingly aware of how important it is to be intentional 24/7. I long to have the mind of Christ and, with it, wise discernment for the making of choices big & small.
Thank you for the wisdom, and such a great reminder.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister. Your post is so right though! Thank you for sharing. May God bless you.
Andrea,
I can only imagine each day without your sister leaves a whole in your heart! I am so sorry you lost her all those years ago and i know time has helped the pain along with the Lords Comfort and I pray that continues until you see her again!
I am with you on this journey to seeking and embracing each day with a possitive attitude and expectations of the Lords calling and blessings!
I love you Andrea
